Why is it so hard to say no?
Sometimes, people just hurt you.
Intentionally. Or unintentionally.
But you can’t push them out
For good, at least.
You’ll make up your mind one day
About giving them the boot.
But in the end you’ll always relapse.
And get hurt.
Again.
And again.
You keep telling yourself that this time
It will be different.
You’ll not be the one thinking about them,
Every other second.
When they think about you
Every other day.
Nobody wants to be only on
The receiving side
But you end up there.
Lost. Alone. And hurt.
And worst of all?
Hopeful.
Sometimes you just have to take the plunge, screaming at the top of your lungs.
Maybe you can finally let go then.
Because I need to let go of you.
